The Wedge Overlook is a free, dispersed camping area managed by the Bureau of Land Management in Utah's San Rafael Swell, located near Castle Dale. The area sits along the rim of a canyon carved by the San Rafael River, accessible via approximately 20 miles of graded gravel road. Camping sites vary from rim-side spots with direct canyon views to more protected locations in the junipers. The area features two vault toilets and rock fire rings at some sites, though no tables or grills are provided. The Wedge Overlook offers expansive views of the San Rafael River below and the Sids Mountain Wilderness Area beyond, and is popular for mountain biking, ATV riding, hiking, and photography.
