The Wawanesa Community Park is located along Souris River and is only 3 blocks from downtown. Newly serviced since the 2011 flood, this riverside green space features a natural setting for several activities including fishing, canoeing, cross country skiing, snowshoeing and snowmobiling. It also has picnic areas, open spaces and several camping sites. Scenic and quiet, except for the flow of the river, the campground offers both serviced and non-serviced lots. Water, modern washrooms and showers are on site. Additional Info: Open May long weekend to end of September, weather permitting. Offers 10 seasonal sites, 16 full service sites, 8 sites with electricity and water, and 6 non-serviced sites. Garbage dumpsters, firewood for purchase, and sewer dumping station available. Check-in 3:00pm at pool office, check-out 2:00pm. Quiet hours 11pm-8am. Booking via letscamp.ca.
