Waterman Gap Trail Camp

Waterman Gap Trail Camp is a primitive backcountry site in Castle Rock State Park along the Skyline-to-the-Sea Trail. It offers 6 designated campsites, each accommodating up to 6 people. Reservations are required up to 60 days in advance via California State Parks. Access is by hiking 6.3 miles from Saratoga Gap or 8.9-9.3 miles from Castle Rock parking lot; trails close at sunset. No potable water available—pack in or filter from seasonal creek. Vault toilets available seasonally. Food storage lockers provided. No fires permitted; gas stoves allowed except in extreme fire danger. No pets or smoking.
