Campsite accessible by 2WD Vehicle Additional Info: Water Canyon Recreation Area is a free, BLM-managed camping area located approximately 5 miles south of Winnemucca, Nevada. Rising almost 2,000 feet above town, the area features a rugged, picturesque setting with a lush riparian area of cottonwood and aspen trees along the stream. Sites are well-separated along a dirt road with picnic tables, fire pits, and vault toilets. No potable water is available. Camping is limited to three days. The area offers hiking, biking, and disc golf. Cell service is not available.
