Campsite accessible by 2WD Vehicle Additional Info: Water Canyon Recreation Area is a BLM-managed recreation area located approximately 5 miles south of Winnemucca, Nevada. The area rises almost 2,000 feet above town and features a rugged, picturesque setting along the canyon's upper reaches with a lush riparian area of cottonwood and aspen trees along the stream at the canyon bottom. Camping is limited to three days in the recreation area. Campsites are well-separated along a dirt road with picnic tables, fire pits, and vault toilets. RVs must be 40 feet in length or less. The area offers hiking, biking, and limited ATV use.
