Warland Ds-Site 7
About this site
Warland Flat is a dispersed camping area situated within the Kootenai National Forest in Lincoln County, Montana. As a primitive camping area managed by the U.S. Forest Service, it provides visitors with a remote, undeveloped camping experience in the forests of northwestern Montana. The area is characteristic of the Kootenai National Forest's extensive backcountry, which spans over 2.2 million acres of mixed conifer forests, mountain ranges, and valleys. Access is typically via forest roads; look for signage indicating Warland Flat. Forest roads in this region can be unpaved and may require careful navigation, especially after inclement weather. Stay limits are 16 consecutive days and no more than 32 cumulative days per calendar year on Montana National Forests. Winter snow typically affects forest road access from late fall through spring.
