Wanagan Watercraft Campsite is a canoe-in/kayak-in campsite on the Mississippi River State Water Trail. It serves as the first campground and rest area after leaving the headwaters near Itasca State Park, accessible from Wanagan Landing. Paddlers may encounter seasonal low water levels requiring dragging boats for up to half a mile.
