Walnut Springs primitive backpack campsites are located in Enchanted Rock State Natural Area. There are 12 sites accessible by a 1- to 3-mile hike over rugged terrain. People per site: 4. Nightly fee: $14 plus daily entrance fee. Excess vehicle fee: $6 per car per night for each vehicle over two per campsite. Pets allowed. Outdoor composting toilets available. No water available. No ash-producing fires permitted; containerized fuel stoves only. Carry out all trash. No hammocks allowed. Nothing may be hung from trees. All park visitors must be off trails by half hour after sunset. Only Loop Trail open to access primitive campsites.
