Vogelsang High Sierra Camp is one of Yosemite National Park's historic High Sierra Camps, located in the backcountry at 10,130 feet elevation near Fletcher Peak and Rafferty Creek. Accessible only by a challenging 7+ mile hike from Tuolumne Meadows. Features 12 tent cabins with bunks (bring your own sleeping bag), family-style meals, and a vault toilet. Offers day hikes to nearby alpine lakes including Evelyn Lake, Ireland Lake, Booth Lake, Emeric Lake, and Vogelsang Lake. Additional Info: Seasonal operation typically July to August with reservations via lottery. Highest elevation High Sierra Camp at the base of Fletcher Peak, known for alpenglow sunsets.
