Vinegar Ridge Campground

Located in Richard J. Dorer State Forest and managed by Beaver Creek Valley State Park, the Vinegar Ridge Recreation Area has six miles of hiking or horseback riding trails and is located along the Root River State Trail with access to 60 miles of paved bicycling. Visitors can also canoe or kayak the Root River State Water Trail within the recreation area. The eight primitive campsites are designed to furnish only the basic needs of the camper--with a cleared area, fire ring, and table. One vault toilet, garbage can, and drinking water are available. Additional Info: Open year round but camping area is not plowed in winter. All sites are on a first come, first served basis. Pets allowed. Camping accessible to people with disabilities. Secluded campsites.
