Vermilion River Site 6 is a designated backcountry campsite along the Vermilion River in Superior National Forest, accessible by boat or paddle. The river flows 42 miles north from Lake Vermilion to Crane Lake and is best suited for experienced paddlers due to numerous rapids and few access points. Additional Info: These sites are part of the remote backcountry camping areas maintained by the U.S. Forest Service, with facilities including fire rings, tent pads, and latrines. Pack out all garbage. Permits required for Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness entry.
