Vermilion River Site 3 is one of three backcountry campsites located on Lake Vermilion in Superior National Forest, accessible by water via the Vermilion River which flows north from Lake Vermilion to Crane Lake. These sites are in the Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness, suitable for experienced paddlers. Group size limited to 9 people or fewer. Dogs allowed but must be controlled. Permits required year-round.
