Van Etten Lake State Forest Campground
About this site
This semi-modern campground has 49 sites overlooking Van Etten Lake near Wurtsmith Air Force Base. All sites are available on a first-come, first-serve basis. No reservations taken. Campsites will accommodate tents and small and large trailers. Some universally accessible sites are also available. Campground amenities include vault toilets, potable water from a forced water main and an improved boat launch. Additional Info: Overlooking Van Etten Lake, a 1,320-acre lake popular for fishing. Sites 36-46 have direct lake access via footpaths, and a picturesque walking path lines the water's edge. A boating access site is in the campground. Sites 12, 38 and 48 are accessible. The campground is located near the Iron Belle Trail. ORVs and snowmobiles are prohibited in the campground. Camping is limited to a 15-day maximum stay. One camping unit and six people are allowed per site.
