Van Creek Campground
About this site
VAN CREEK Additional Info: Van Creek Campground is a small, undeveloped camping area managed by the U.S. Forest Service in the Nez Perce-Clearwater National Forest. Located approximately 13 miles up Salmon River Road from Riggins, this primitive site sits at an elevation of 1,965 feet in north-central Idaho. The campground consists of a single site that can accommodate up to three vehicles and has adequate space for two tents. A vault toilet is provided, but campers must bring their own water as no drinking water is available on-site. Due to its undeveloped nature and limited space, the site is not recommended for trailers or large RVs. Operates on a first-come, first-served basis with no camping fees. Open year-round, road access may be limited during winter depending on snow conditions.
