Vadzaih Van Tshik Campground in Gwich'in Territorial Park is located 50 km south of Inuvik. Travelling north from the NWT/Yukon border along NWT Hwy 8 (km 221). The campground offers modestly sized campsites, with basic amenities including outhouse washrooms and picnic areas. The campground is well protected from the weather, conveniently nestled near a steep embankment, in the oxbow of Caribou Creek (Vadzaih means Caribou in Gwich'in). 9 non-powered campsites. The campground has no internet access and campsites are available by self-registration only (on a first-come, first-served basis). Online reservations are not available for this park. Additional Info: Kitchen shelter and day-use picnic area available. Nestled along Caribou Creek with protection from steep cliffs.
