Upper Tapeats Campsite

About this site

Upper Tapeats Campsite is a backcountry campsite in Grand Canyon National Park located about a quarter-mile downstream from the confluence of Thunder River and Tapeats Creek. Grand Canyon National Park issues permits for three groups per night: two small groups (1-6 people) and one large group (7-12 people). The site has toilet facilities. Access is by hiking only; the site is not accessible by vehicle. Permits are required and must be obtained from Grand Canyon National Park's backcountry office.
