Fee info: Overnight Use: Single Site: $5 per night Day Use: $5 per vehicle per day $30 per annual $5 per secondary annual Additional Info: Upper Shake Campground is a primitive campground situated along Shake Creek in the Los Angeles Gateway District of Angeles National Forest at an elevation of 4,300-4,400 feet. It offers 18 first-come, first-served sites with vault toilets, picnic tables, and fire pits. No water is available on-site. RVs up to 22 feet are accommodated. Dogs are permitted on leash. An Adventure Pass or America the Beautiful Pass is required for vehicles. Access is via Lake Hughes Rd and Pine Canyon Rd (County Rd N2). Currently closed due to improvement project; open May-Dec when operational.
