Upper Karr Canyon Campground is a free developed campground in Lincoln National Forest, located off NM6563 (Sunspot Scenic Byway) about 6 miles south of Cloudcroft, New Mexico. This rustic dispersed camping area offers undeveloped campsites scattered throughout mixed conifer forests with no direct shade. Facilities include 2 fire rings, 1 vault toilet, and garbage depositories. Potable water is not available on-site; campers must bring their own. The site is open year-round on a first-come, first-served basis with no reservations, subject to a 14-day stay limit. Access roads may close in winter due to snow. RVs are limited to 16 feet.
