Upper Gravel Bar Campsite
About this site
Upper Gravel Bar Campsite is a backcountry camping area along the Elk River Trail in Strathcona Provincial Park, British Columbia. It is the second campsite on the trail, approximately 10km (~3 hours hike) from the Elk River Trailhead with ~650m elevation gain. The site offers river access, space for 3-4 tents in the open gravel bar area and additional sites in the surrounding trees/forest. Amenities include an outhouse toilet and metal bear cache/food storage. No camping is permitted at nearby Landslide Lake; this site serves as a base for day hikes there (additional ~3km one-way, steeper terrain).
