Tyler Bend Campground

Tyler Bend Campground is located on the Buffalo National River near St. Joe, Arkansas, approximately 11 miles northwest of Marshall. The campground offers 10 walk-in tent-only sites and 28 drive-in sites, plus five group sites and a day-use pavilion. Half of the drive-in sites (2-13) and half of the walk-in sites (A-E) are available for reservation through Recreation.gov or by calling 1-877-444-6777 up to 6 months in advance. The remaining sites (14-28 drive-in and F-J walk-in) are first come, first served with payment at a self-pay station. The campground features flush restrooms with showers in the drive-in loop, water spigots throughout, picnic tables, and fire rings. A dump station and tank filler are located near the park entrance at Highway 65. No RV hookups are available. The Buffalo River offers excellent opportunities for swimming, kayaking, and fishing, with numerous hiking trails in the surrounding area. The Tyler Bend Visitor Center, open year-round, provides exhibits and educational programs on the region's flora and fauna.
