About this site
Free primitive camping is available at two designated spots along the service road on the west side of the Equalization Channel connecting the Twin Buttes Reservoir pools. A permit is required from the City of San Angelo Parks and Recreation. All persons over 17 must also hold a Texas Limit Public Use Permit (LPU) costing $12 annually or Annual Public Hunting Permit. Camping restricted to shoreline areas adjacent to designated roads. Local law enforcement checks permits. Amenities include trash cans. Boat ramps available north and south of Knickerbocker Road crossing.
