About this site
Tunkwa Provincial Park offers vehicle-accessible camping at Tunkwa Lake Campground, the largest of three areas with 55 traditional sites and 220 informal sites, plus long-stay options. Features include pit toilets, boat launch, day-use area, and firewood for sale. World-class trout fishing on Tunkwa and Leighton Lakes. Activities: fishing, hiking, cycling, wildlife viewing, ATV-ing, horseback riding. Corral available at North Leighton. Wild horses often visible in meadows. Open year-round, fully serviced May 1 to October 12. Additional Info: Park managed by Brandywine Environmental Management Ltd. 275 total campsites across Tunkwa Lake, Leighton, and North Leighton areas. Pet-friendly, first-come first-served.
