Trout Lake State Forest Campground
About this site
This secluded, rustic campground offers 35 sites for tents and small trailers. Located within the Gladwin Field Trail Area and near House and Hoister lakes, the campground is split into three small loops. Visitors can enjoy excellent fishing, hiking, and other outdoor activities, with direct access to the scenic 2.8-mile Trout Lake Pathway. The campground is a neighbor to the House Lake State Forest Campground, and site 19 is a pull-through. Sites available on a first-come, first-served basis. No reservations. Vault toilets. Potable (drinking) water is available from a hand-pump well. No electrical available. Overnight fees ($20 for most sites) and registration procedures are posted at the information kiosk at each campground. Camping is limited to a 15-day maximum stay. One camping unit and six people are allowed per site. Recreation Passport required for vehicle entry into all state park and forest campgrounds. Open year-round; campground and seasonal roads are not plowed in winter.
