Triangle Lake Horse Camp
About this site
Triangle Lake Horse Camp is located on the south end of Triangle Lake in the Olallie Lake Scenic Area of Mt. Hood National Forest. The campground offers 8 tranquil sites in a setting of lodgepole pines and mountain hemlocks, designed exclusively for equestrians with horses. Each campsite includes 4-horse corrals, picnic tables, and fire rings. Long gravel parking pads accommodate both camp vehicles and horse trailers up to 30 feet. While the lake is not visible from most campsites, it is just a short walk or ride down the hill. The campground serves as an excellent base for exploring the extensive trail system in the area, including direct access to the Pacific Crest Trail. Vault toilets are available, but there is no potable water—visitors must bring their own water supply. Stock water is available for horses. The campground is closed seasonally during winter months; access roads require Sno-Park permits from November 1 through April 30. Weed-free certified hay is required per forest regulations. Sites are available on a first-come, first-served basis.
