About this site
Travers Dam campground is in Travers Reservoir Provincial Recreation Area, 18 km south of Vulcan on Hwy. 23, 32 km east on Hwy. 529, and south on Range Rd. 205A. Experience the vastness of the prairie and camp alongside the reservoir. Sites in open grasslands have expansive views in all directions. Canoe, sail or fish on the reservoir, and enjoy the endless skies. This is a wonderful place for stargazing on clear nights. Additional Info: 32 unserviced campsites at $23/night. Weather permitting, campground opens April 23. Bring your own potable drinking water; onsite pump/tap not for drinking, cooking, or washing.
