Tonch South
About this site
Tonch South is a paddle-in only backcountry campsite on the Tonch Peninsula on the east side of Beausoleil Island in Georgian Bay Islands National Park. The site features 6 campsites (5 reservable) located on a rocky outcrop facing southeast, offering unique camping experience with easy access to the calmer waters of nearby Treasure Bay. Amenities include composting toilets, hibachi fire boxes, picnic tables, food storage lockers, and tent pads or wooden platforms that can accommodate 1 medium tent or 2 small tents. Firewood is available for sale from daily barge visits. Access to the Tonch and main Huron Trails is available. No drinking water, showers, or vehicle access. Campers must coordinate their own boat transportation or book a licensed private water taxi.
