Tobacco River Campground is a small, rustic campground located approximately 5 miles west of Eureka in the Kootenai National Forest. The campground features 6 designated campsites situated along the Tobacco River in a natural forested setting. Each site includes a table and fire ring. The facility offers basic amenities including a vault toilet and an undeveloped boat ramp suitable for small packable boats. This is a pack-in, pack-out facility with no potable water or trash service. Visitors must bring their own water and pack out all trash. The campground operates on a first-come, first-served basis with no reservation system. A 16-day stay limit applies to all National Forest System Lands in the area. The campground is managed from Memorial Day through Labor Day, but is available all year to visitors. Access is dependent upon weather conditions. Pets are welcome but must be leashed. Fireworks are never permitted on National Forest System Lands. The access road is able to accommodate up to a 20' RV. Access and campground roads are gravel. Elevation: 2,460 feet.
