Tinnemaha Creek Campground
About this site
Tinnemaha Creek Campground is a rustic 35-site campground located along Tinnemaha Creek in the Owens Valley at 4,400 feet elevation, operated by Inyo County Parks and Recreation. The campground offers both reservable and first-come, first-served sites that accommodate RVs up to 50 feet and tent camping. Amenities include vault toilets, fire rings, grills, and picnic tables at each site. A flowing creek runs through the property, providing stream fishing opportunities from the last Saturday in April through November 15 (valid fishing license required for ages 16+). The peaceful, tree-covered setting is ideal for fishing, hiking, and accessing surrounding public lands. No potable water, hookups, or shower facilities are available. Pets are allowed. Access is via U.S. 395, turning west on Fish Springs Road for half a mile, then west on Tinnemaha Road for 2 miles. The campground is centrally located between Independence and Big Pine.
