Timber Lake Backcountry Campsite has one backcountry site accessible from the lake, which is accessed by paddling and portaging from the Whitefish Lake carry down access. Timber Lake is part of the Timber-Frear Canoe Route. You can access this 1 site on this lake by a portage from either Frear Lake or Elbow Lake (via a carry down boat launch). Maximum of nine people per site at both campground and backcountry sites. Be sure to pack out all your garbage, including fish remains from cleaning fish. Restrooms are not available at this site. Potable water is not available at this site.
