About this site
Tiadaghton State Forest offers primitive camping in the Pine Creek Valley with multiple camping options including roadside campsites, backpacking sites, and trailside camping. The forest features rustic tent campsites near numerous recreation opportunities such as canoe launches, fishing access, hiking trails including the Pine Creek Rail Trail, and the Black Forest Trail. Camping is free and first-come-first-served, though permits may be required in specific cases. Vault toilets are available at designated locations. The forest covers approximately 147,000 acres across Bradford and Lycoming counties.
