Three Prune Lakes
About this site
Three Prune is a backpacking campsite with 3 sites located along the Skyline Primitive Trail in Olympic National Park. The main camping area is adjacent to an old gnarled tree in a surrounding meadow. Bear canisters are required for food storage due to lack of suitable trees. Small streams nearby provide the last reliable water until 5.2 miles further at Kimta Peak Basin. Pit toilets are available at nearby Three Lakes. Camp on bare ground only. Campfires prohibited. Additional Info: Access via 6.9-mile Three Lakes Trail or longer Skyline Primitive Trail (~23 miles from Three Lakes to Low Divide). Difficult terrain with steep sections, subalpine forest and meadows.
