Designated backcountry camping zone at Lower Thornton Lake in North Cascades National Park. Three campsites with 4-person capacity each. Backcountry permit required (permits limited and can fill quickly during busy periods). Bear canisters required for food storage (available for rent at Marblemount ranger station). Composting toilet on-site. No campfires allowed. Pets not permitted at the lake or campsites. 5.2 miles hike from Thornton Lakes trailhead via State Route 20.
