Thistledew Campground and Day-Use Area is located in George Washington State Forest, managed by McCarthy Beach State Park. It offers 21 primitive campsites, each with a cleared area, fire ring, and picnic table. Vault toilets, garbage cans, and drinking water are available. The site features nature trails, water access to a lake known for walleye and crappie fishing, a boat ramp, swimming beach, and groomed trails for cross-country skiing and snowmobiling. All sites are first-come, first-served with payment on site. Pets are allowed, and some sites are accessible to people with disabilities.
