About this site

Third Beach Camping Area is a backcountry beach camping site along the Olympic National Park Wilderness Coast, accessible via a ~1.4-mile trail from the Third Beach Trailhead through coastal forest with a 200ft descent to the beach. Camping occurs primarily on the beach above high tide, with a few sites in the forest; a privy is available near the creek. Wilderness Camping Permits are required for overnight stays. All food, garbage, and scented items must be stored in park-approved bear canisters. Pets, weapons, and wheeled devices are prohibited on coastal beaches and trails. Group size limited to 12 people. Additional Info: Parking is very limited at the trailhead; carpooling recommended.
