The Wedge camping area offers a remote backcountry experience near one of Utah's most spectacular overlooks. Often called the Little Grand Canyon, The Wedge Overlook provides unmatched views of the San Rafael River winding 1,200 feet below through towering sandstone cliffs. The area is managed as wild and undeveloped landscape, with dispersed camping available at designated sites located before reaching the canyon rim. The camping area sits within and adjacent to the Sids Mountain Wilderness Area, offering access to extensive backcountry hiking, mountain biking trails, and wildlife viewing. Additional Info: Located in the northern San Rafael Swell, accessed via dirt roads that may require high clearance vehicles. Camping is prohibited along the canyon rim to preserve day use access.
