  So the view is incredible and does all the heavy lifting of the awesomeness of the site, but there are downsides: The sites are extremely close together, and you don’t get to pick your own when you book. In my case, they clustered me with four other peoples’ sites in the middle, even though there were about a dozen empty sites on the flanks. I wish they had a system where they spread everybody out, or where you could select a site when you book it, but they don’t Also you park up at the lot then walk down to set up your stuff. For me, this meant my cooler and pantry stuff stayed in my car and i had to walk back up whenever i needed something. Finally, no fires, including stoves. The lady at the desk told me i could possibly fire up my stove for coffee if i leave it in my car. Overall though, a fantastic view, good for a night or two, and the Wildcat Trail is right there and takes you around one of the mittens
