Target Meadows Campground

Target Meadows Campground is a free, first-come, first-served campground located in Umatilla National Forest in the Blue Mountains of eastern Oregon at approximately 5,000 feet elevation. The campground features 18 campsites arranged around a scenic meadow and surrounded by Engelmann spruce and Lodgepole pine trees. The area has unique historical significance as a former U.S. Army artillery range and summer encampment from the late 1880s to 1906. Each site includes a picnic table and fire pit. Amenities include potable well water, vault toilets, and self-service firewood for sale. Dogs are permitted on leash only. The campground is adjacent to the South Fork Walla Walla River Trail and near the Burnt Cabin trailhead. Located approximately 7 miles from downtown Walla Walla, the campground may be inaccessible between October and May due to weather conditions.
