T.O. Fuller State Park Campground
About this site
T.O. Fuller State Park Campground is situated in a historic 783-acre park in southwest Memphis, originally established in 1938 as the first state park for African Americans east of the Mississippi River. Named after Dr. Thomas O. Fuller, a prominent educator and civic leader, the park offers 45 well-shaded campsites under hardwood trees. The campground accommodates both RV and tent campers, with some sites large enough for rigs up to 85 feet. Each site features electric and water hookups, a picnic table, lantern hanger, fire ring, and grill. A centrally located bathhouse provides restroom facilities, hot showers, and coin-operated laundry. Additional amenities include a playground, picnic shelter, and a dump station near the campground entrance. Reservations are accepted through the Tennessee State Parks system with a two-week maximum stay limit. Additional Info: Park features over 6 miles of hiking trails, an Olympic-sized swimming pool (seasonal), picnic pavilions, sports courts, and a nature center.
