Swisher Lake Campground is a walk-in site with 4 campsites located on the northwest shore of Swisher Lake in Kootenai National Forest, 8 miles northwest of Eureka, Montana. Access is via a 0.42-mile foot and horse trail from parking at the gate on Sophie Bay Road 7160; the road is closed to motorized vehicles. Amenities include tables, fire rings, vault toilet, and hitching rack. No fees, first-come first-served, open year-round (winter access weather dependent), 14-16 day stay limit. Popular with hikers and horsemen. No potable water; pack in/pack out. Pets allowed on leash. Additional Info: Elevations around 2480 feet. Near Lake Koocanusa. Emergency services in Eureka (7-8 miles southeast).
