Summit Bechtel Reserve is a 10,000+ acre Boy Scouts of America training and adventure center located in the Appalachian Mountains near Glen Jean, West Virginia, adjacent to New River Gorge National Park and Preserve. The facility offers multiple camping options including primitive tent camping, primitive RV sites with optional electrical hookups, and glamping accommodations. Tent camping is available May through October at $12 per person per night. Primitive RV sites are $40 per night. Amenities include Wi-Fi, restroom and shower facilities, and an RV dumping station. The facility accommodates approximately 8,000 campers across six base camps and hosts Scout programs, family adventure camps, and large-scale events.
