Historic Sumas Mtn. Outpost Cabin (formerly Friendly Cabin), built in the 1890s by John Friendly and renovated in 2010 by Whatcom Backcountry Horsemen. Accessed via a steep ~1-mile hike on Gold Mine Trail with switchbacks and muddy conditions. Features include bunks (single, double, loft space), stove, cabinet, trail map, outhouse, fire pit, and corral.
