Sulphide Del Rey Campground
About this site
Sulphide Del Rey was once a site of an old mining company. The miners lived here to escape the heat of the lower elevations where they worked during the day. This site offers an exciting place to camp with the family because of the ponderosa pine and abundance in wildlife. Additional Info: Sulphide Del Rey Campground has 10 designated sites nestled at 6,000 feet in the Pinal Mountains of Tonto National Forest. Sites include grills, fire pits, and picnic tables. A vault toilet is available. The site is first-come, first-served and free. Only trailers under 20 feet are allowed. No trash service. 14-day stay limit.
