Straits State Park Modern & Semi-Modern Campground is a 270-site state park campground located in Saint Ignace, Michigan, along Lake Huron with views of the Mackinac Bridge and Straits of Mackinac. The campground is divided into three loops: upper loop, lower east loop, and lower west loop. The upper loop features larger, more open sites with pull-throughs and 20/30-amp electrical service (some 50-amp available). Lower loops have smaller sites better suited for small trailers and tent camping. Modern toilet and shower buildings and sanitation stations are available seasonally (mid-May to mid-October). Amenities include picnic tables, fire pits, charcoal grills, potable water, and accessible facilities. Two accessible mini cabins are available in the lower east loop, each sleeping four people with bunkbeds, mini refrigerator, and electric lighting. Youth group camping is available at two rustic tent-only campgrounds. The park spans 181 acres and includes a 1-mile hiking loop, portion of the North Country Trail, playgrounds, and waterfront area.
