About this site

Undeveloped camping area at Storm Lake in the Beaverhead-Deerlodge National Forest. The lake contains cutthroat and rainbow trout; anglers can launch car-topper type boats. Access via Forest Road #675 off Montana Highway 1 (Pintler Scenic Loop), approximately 9 miles from the highway. The last mile of road is extremely rough and suitable only for high-clearance four-wheel drive vehicles. The entire road may not be passable until July. Several undeveloped campsites are available. No potable water or restrooms available. Trailhead for Storm Lake to Goat Flat Trail (3.5 miles one way to Anaconda-Pintler Wilderness Area).
