Stinking Pond Float Camp
About this site
Stinking Pond located on the left side of the Eleven Point River near a 20 foot bluff about a mile below Turner Mill River Access. This access is located 5.7 miles below Greer Crossing. The campsites are accessible only from the river. The campground is on the edge of the river. The campsites are about 200 feet back from the river and are screened from the river by trees and brush. Downriver, the next takeout is McDowell (FS). Additional Info: Restrooms are available at this site. Potable water is not available at this site. Open January - December. Quiet hours are 10:00 p.m. until 6:00 a.m. No more than 8 people are permitted at single sites. Pets allowed. Follow Leave No Trace principles. Only dead and downed wood for campfires. No glass or polystyrene on the river.
