Backcountry camping sites by reservation only in the South Unit. Check in time is 2:00 p.m. Check out time is 1:00 p.m. Camping is limited to a maximum of 7 consecutive nights. Backcountry camping is open year around. Additional Info: The South Unit has 7.27 miles of trail for hiking and equine use, 3.5 miles groomed for cross country skiing during winter months, picnic sites, and primitive toilet facilities. Equine trails closed for the season on November 25, 2025.
