SPRINGER MOUNTAIN SHELTER (Camping Area) Additional Info: Springer Mountain Shelter is a three-sided Adirondack-style shelter with capacity for 12, located 0.2 miles from Springer Mountain summit via blue-blazed side trail. Maintained by Georgia Appalachian Trail Club on USFS Chattahoochee-Oconee National Forest land. Features include privy, bear box, nearby stream (purify before use), and established tent sites. Free, first-come first-served.
