South Ridge Yellow Post Site #3 is one of three free designated Yellow Post campsites accessed via the steep 1.5-mile South Ridge Road 5S11 in San Bernardino National Forest near Idyllwild, CA. Site #3 is the largest and farthest, suitable for cars, vans, or pickup trucks (4WD advised due to steep inclines, soft dirt, ruts, and bumps); small trailers up to 20ft may be towed with 4WD. Limited to 8 persons and 2 vehicles maximum. Amenities include 1 picnic table and 1 fire ring. No restrooms, no drinking water, no other services. First-come, first-served. Campfire permit required; campfires subject to seasonal restrictions. 14-day camping limit. No camping except at designated Yellow Post sites. Additional Info: Pack in/pack out all trash. Avoid parking on vegetation.
