South Lake Desor Campground
About this site
South Lake Desor Campground is a remote backcountry site in Isle Royale National Park on the south shore of Lake Desor, accessible only by foot via the Greenstone Ridge Trail or Greenwood Trail. It offers 7 individual tent sites (first-come, first-served) and 3 group sites (advance reservation required for 7+ people), seasonal composting toilets, food storage lockers, and non-potable water. No campfires permitted; self-contained stoves only. 2-night stay limit June 1 through Labor Day. Pets prohibited. No showers, electric/water/sewer hookups, or potable water. Additional Info: No boat, canoe, or kayak access. Terrain is uneven and rough, not ADA accessible. Park entrance fee and free overnight permit required.
