About this site
South Lake Campground is Backbone State Park's modern camping facility on the southeast side of the park. It offers 49 electric sites and 49 non-electric sites, along with a dump station, two shower houses, two primitive restrooms, and a playground. Both shower buildings and campsites are ADA accessible. The campground is 100% reservable through the online reservation system from April 1 to November 30, with reservations required. Note: Closed December 1 - March 31 except for 2 year-round youth group sites.
